The Lynchburg Amateur Radio Club invites you to visit with us at FIELD DAY 2016.
Field day is upon us June 25-26,2016 from 10AM Saturday to 2PM Sunday
We will start approx. 10am on Saturday
Objective of Field Day:
To work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands (excluding the 60, 30, 17, and 12-meter bands) and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions. Field Day is open to all amateurs in the areas covered by the ARRL/RAC Field Organizations and countries within IARU Region 2. DX stations residing in other regions may be contacted for credit, but are not eligible to submit entries.

This is going to be a great weekend and it’s open to the public. If you would like to learn about Amateur radio and even try making a contact on the air this is your chance.

Coming from Lynchburg:
Take the 29 bypass from 460 to 130. Exit 130 and go LEFT proceed to the light and make a RIGHT on Dixie Airport proceed approx 1/2 mile to Possum Island and make a RIGHT. Proceed approx 2 miles to the end of Possum Island and make a RIGHT on S Coolwell Rd Proceed approx 1 mile to Issak Walton Rd and go 1/4 mile to the entrance of the park. once in the park , slowly proceed to the clubhouse.
